Hallo ihr Nagellackverrückten,
die letzten Tage waren bei mir stressiger und voller als gedacht, weshalb ich erst jetzt dazu komme, euch mein Design zur Frischlackiert-Challenge zu zeigen.
Das Thema von Montag war "Lieblingsbuch oder Lieblingsfilm". Als leidenschaftliche Buchhändlerin ist es ja nur logisch, dass ich euch mein Lieblingsbuch zeige. Naja, zumindest eins davon.
Ich habe lange überlegt, welches Buch ich auf den Nägeln tragen möchte und habe auch schnell einige Bücher gefunden, die ich NICHT als Vorlage nutzen wollte. Das waren eben vor allem die Klassiker wie Harry Potter, Herr der Ringe und noch ein paar andere.
Einige der anderen Mädels haben sich diese zur Vorlage genommen und haben auch wirklich tolle Designs gezaubert, aber ich wollte etwas Besonderes als Vorlage nehmen.
Nachdem vor Kurzem auch mein Päckchen von Born Pretty Store ankam, in dem einige tolle Thermo-Lacke waren, war mit auch gleich klar: So einen Lack nehme ich als Basis. Mit dem Lack in der Hand habe ich dann unser Bücherregal durchstöbert und bin sofort bei einem Buch hängen geblieben. Stravaganza. Von Mary Hoffman. Der erste Teil trägt den Untertitel "Stadt der Masken". Bevor ich euch aber noch mehr vom Buch und dem Design erzähle, möchte ich euch erstmal ein paar Bilder zeigen.

my last two weeks were super busy and I never really got the time to prepare or write any posts for you. For this reason I can only show you my post for Frsichlackiert-Challenge today. Monday'S topic was 'favourite book or movie'. Well, I am a passionate (ex-)bookseller so, of course, I chose a book. It was a really hard choice, as I didn't want to create a design with any mainstream book. Some of the other ladies chose Harry Potter or Lord of the rings and they really did a great job, but I wanted to do something special. Not too long ago I got a parcel from Born Pretty Store with a few thermal polishes, so I took one of them out and browsed through my bookshelves. And then I saw my book of choice: Stravaganza by Mary Hofmann. In English it is called 'City of Masks'.
But before I tell you more about the book, I would like to show you a picture of my design.

Und jetzt noch ein paar Sätze zum Buch. Stravaganza ist eine fantastische Geschichte für Leser ab 12. Die Geschichte spielt zum Teil in der heutigen Zeit und zum Teil in der Vergangenheit im wunderschönen Italien - im ersten Band hauptsächlich in Venedig. Ich war so vertieft in dieses Buch, habe stundenlang gelesen und dem nächsten Teil entgegengefiebert. Im Englischen gibt es 12 Bände - so viele, wie es Sternzeichen gibt. Ins Deutsche wurden leider nur 4 Bände übersetzt.
Das Buch wurde vor Kurzem als Taschenbuch neu aufgelegt, fragt doch mal beim Buchhändler eures Vertrauens danach und schaut es euch an :-)
And now I would like to tell you a few things about the book.
City of Masks is a wonderful book for children of 12 years or older. This book tells a fictional story that takes part in our time as well as in the past. It takes place in Italy, mostly Venice for the first part. In English there are 12 books, of which I have read for and I loved every single one of them. I still remember how much I loved reading, how much I enjoyed my time and how I couldn't wait for the next book to be published.
If you don't know this series you should definitely check it out!

Für mein Design habe ich verwendet:
- 1 Schicht High Intense Nail Hardener - Trend it Up
- 3 Schichten Nr. 7 - Ur Sugar
- silberner und schwarzer Stamping Lack - BornPretty Store
- Stempelplatte Mask BP-X42
- No Smudge Top-Coat - BornPretty Store
Obwohl der Lack sehr sheer ist und ich am Afang dachte, dass der Auftrag kompliziert werden könnte, ließ sich der Lack sehr gleichmäßig verteilen und hat mit 3 Schichten auch komplett gedeckt. Der Farbwechsel-Effekt ist schon bei leichten Temperaturschwankungen zu sehen und gefällt mir sehr gut. Je wärmer die Hände desto heller der Lack.
For this design I used:
- 1 coat of High Intense Nail Hardener - Trend it Up
- 3 coats of Nr. 7 - Ur Sugar
- silver and black stamping polish - BornPretty Store
- stamping plate Mask BP-X42 - BornPretty Store
- No Smudge Top-Coat - BornPretty Store
Even though the polish is very sheer it was easy to apply. It looks streaky after the first coat, but you need at least three coats to get it opaque and by then it looks very even. I love the changing of the colours. I could stare at my nails all the time and I love the combination of the colours. The polish is a soft, pink when it is warm and changes to purple and even blue as it get colder. The effect can be seen at very slight changes of temperature already.
